Travelocity Complaint - This Company is CONSISTENTLY Horrible!!
After a couple of years dealing with horrible customer service from this company, I stopped using them. My daughter came home from college and wanted to book a flight to go see her boyfriend who is in Marine Corps boot camp. I gave her my credit card and failed to tell her not to use Travelocity. She went to their site, booked her flight, and lo and behold, they were having "technical issues" and suggested she come back later to rebook the flight. The next day, she went back to the site to rebook the flight and the same thing happened again. She went back the 3rd day and my credit card was declined - when I checked my credit card information it showed the 2 previous charges as approved. I called Travelocity and spoke with someone (very difficult to understand due to thick accent) and explained what had happened - she was INCREDIBLY rude and informed me that my daughter's information did not exist in their system (even though we were looking at her "welcome" email from Travelocity while I was on the phone!) and that the charges were obviously from United Airlines and not from Travelocity. When I argued the point with her, she informed me that the charges were authorizations only and would drop off 24 hours after the authorization posted (at least I THINK that's what she said - she was really hard to understand)...but it had already been over 36 hours since the first "authorization" or charge or whatever and it was still on my card!! I am absolutely beside myself - but it was mostly my fault for not warning my daughter against using Travelocity.....now I get to wait and see how long until my credit card is all "cleaned up" again....knowing Travelocity it will be a while and I'll be subjected to more and more HORRID customer service.
