Russel Automotive Volkswagen Complaint - Do not trust Russel Automotive

BALTIMORE, MARYLAND -- Took my 98 Jetta to Russel after engine light came on. I already knew, from a mechanic who did not have the means to fix it, that there was a problem with my fuel injectors. First thing I told them was something's wrong with the fuel injectors. After looking at the car, they came up with a list of several things that I needed to get repaired, fuel injectors nowhere on that list. Among them were spark plugs and wires, which was obviosuly BS just to suck money out of me, because I had replaced the plugs and wires not three weeks before. So they said the reason my engine light was on was because the coil pack needed to be replaced. I agreed to it because I knew that there was a crack in the coil pack, which had been temporarily repaired with silicone. I again asked if they were sure there was nothing wrong with the fuel injectors, because I had been told by a reliable mechanic that there was. Russel assured me that there was no problem with the injectors. After paying $885 for the coil pack, I received a call from Russel. Expecting my car to be ready for pick-up, I was not too surprised to learn that they would need to keep the car another day because it turns out my fuel injectors needed to be replaced. This was Thursday, they said it would be ready Friday. I forgot to mention that I was on vacation at the time, and was expected to be home (ten hours away) no later than Sunday. So Friday I get a call; they say the parts they ordered didn't come in on time, and they would have to keep the car until Monday, and she promised I would have the car by noon on Monday. Seriously considering taking the car somewhere else, I decided that doing so would take at least as long, so I let Russel have their way. Got a call on Monday telling me the car was ready, went to pick it up, and had to wait an hour and a half for it to be ready. By that time, it was 3pm. Can't help but to think that maybe the silicone on the coil pack would have held up a while longer.
