Frigidaire Complaint - Horrible product
I bought the Frigidaire and two months into owning it, I found water coming out of the bottom of the freezer door. Called the company since it was under warranty and they sent a technician out who said my water lines were "frozen". He reset the temps and went on his way with no other changes. With the item being located in a mountain residence, I thought it was "normal" to have some water under it since the technician said the cold air would impact the water lines and cause them to leak. Since then, I shut the water off to the house to prevent damage from potential leaks.
However, since the refrigerator is in a second home, I didn't notice the warping of my hardwood floors due to the continued leaking.(It is now out of warranty..of course)I had the fridge pulled out to make sure the hoses were not compromised/cracked/split or otherwise not working properly and it looked fine. The house is not in the frozen tundra, so doubt that the lines are or have been "frozen". Does anyone else have this issue that could provide some insight since the company doesn't care about their product reputation? The water is not coming from the water pan or from behind the fridge. More like from the freezer door in an area not accessible by mere mortals.
This has to be one of the worst and most frustrating appliance purchases I have made to date. Folks, if you have a choice, don't choose Frigidaire/Electrolux, however, if you are so inclined, have I got a boat anchor for you.
