Overstock.com Complaint - Not actually "In Stock" - will not cancel order
I ordered a book that was advertised as "in stock." now - a week later, it is not in stock. and it was never shipped. it's already been a week, and I received no notice of the delay or product status. I need the item in a timely fashion, and I am incredibly disappointed with the overstock service. I contacted the overstock customer service department who has no idea when it will ship or if it is in stock. they will get back to me in 1 to 2 business days with an update on the status. also, they cannot cancel the order until I receive it. I decided to order the book from another vendor because I need it ASAP. now, I get to deal with the hassle of returning the book. only plus in this transaction is that overstock says they'll refund the return shipping fee. what a hassle, overstock should advertise their product status accurately!
