Sleepy's Complaint - Warranty is a joke
Resolution Update on 01/30/2011:
Sleepy's did resolve my issue with my mattress purchase and replaced it for me. They were prompt responding to this complaint and made all the arrangments to stand by their warranty. Thank you, you CAN trust Sleepy's.
EASTON, PENNSYLVANIA -- We purchased a queen size bed, mattress, bedliner, bed frame on 2/13/2010 with a 10 year warranty. We were instructed explicitly to keep the mattress covered so no soil would get on the mattress which would void all warranties. We complied. When I removed the bedliner to wash the cover, we noticed approximately 6 stitches came loose along the seam at the top of bed along the border. After Sleepy's sent an insurance adjustor to our home, I received a phone call from Sleepy's. They told me the warranty is only on the coils, not the seams. I am extremely upset about this because the entire purchase was $1,600. We are two retired people and this was a major purchase for us, but felt confident because we had a warranty. Now I am stuck with a mattress that is pulling apart at the seams made by Kingsdown and they will not do anything about this. It is not something I can fix. What can I do?
