Vizio Complaint - Worthless Warranty - Vizio 32 inch LCD TV
I purchased this TV at Target on March 15, 2010. I registered the TV with Vizio to activate the warranty. I know the warranty is active because Vizio sent me a notification to extend the warranty when it expires on March 15, 2011. In January 2011 the TV failed (it will not turn on) and I called tech support. I was informed that they could do nothing under warranty until I sent them proof of purchase.
They admitted the TV was under warranty. So I guess if I paid 150+ to extend the warranty it would be useless because I don't have proof of purchase. What good is a warranty if Vizio will not honor it. All the necessary proof of purchase was pe=resented to them when I first registered the TV.
