Guaranteed Auto Inc. Complaint - Car Sold W/ Undisclosed Problem, Caught On Fire, No Title

Review by Asiangirl on 2011-01-20
SANDY SPRINGS, GEORGIA -- I won in Ebay an item No. 260712522793, was fully paid to the seller as of Jan.04, 2011. On Jan. 10, 2011, Guaranteed Auto attempted to deliver the car to me. The car caught on fire inside the
car carrier before I took possession of the vehicle. When I asked my refund the seller said that it’s the driver’s fault and the car was taken out from his lot in good condition. He did not sold the car "as is" condition because he did not mention it in his Ebay Disclaimer.

Evidently, I have report that car caught on fire due to car undisclosed problem. Though Guaranteed Auto attempted to deliver the car but I never received the certificate of title.

I'm confused. It doesn't seem like the complaint is against Guaranteed Auto, who is the delivery service? It's against eBay seller? The car caught fire why? Did the seller state that it had a clear title?

The car carrier caught on fire then spread to the car.

Is Guaranteed Auto the company who sold the car or the car carrier company? What report do you have that the car caught fire due to an undisclosed problem?

The carrier's insurance should cover this. However, once that insurance company starts paying claims, they will pay whoever is the registered owner of the vehicle, which will be whomever is noted on the title. Unfortunately, this could get very messy and you would probably be wise to retain a lawyer to CYA.

I'm not so sure that the car carrier caught on fire, at least that's not how I read it. It soumds to me like his car caught fire while in/on the carrier. At any rate, I agree it's s big mess.
