Ashley Furniture Complaint - Company does not make good on warranty
ARCADIA, WISCONSIN -- Nine months ago we purchased living room furniture but did not purchase the extended warranty, and boy we should have. Included with our purchase was a black leather look lounge chair and after nine months it developed a 2 inch tare in the fabric in the upper middle of the back. The service (Ha! Ha!) man arrived looked at the chair and took pictures to send to Ashley Corporate to decide to fix or not. The next day I received a call from them saying they would not honor the warranty because it was not a manufacturing error.....so sorry! I asked Corporate to send me the denial and service man's report in writing and after a very long wait I was told
both will be sent to me. As I told the service man it turned very brittle
then cracked and finally split open into a jagged rip 2 inches long.
The only thing we can do is take the matter to court and let it decide.
It will cost then more money to hire an attorney than to repair the unit...
Run Away as fast as you can and tell all not to buy from Ashley Furniture!
