Clearwire.com Complaint - Sales & Product Inquiry

Just called the 877 phone number to get an overview of Clearwire/Clear internet service, as I was told it was a good buy. I was warned NOT to go through a retailer or a mall kiosk but to go on-line or call 800 number.

VERY unfriendly person on the phone at Customer No-Service wouldn't even talk to me without my home address! I asked if he could simply give me an overview of their products as I just wanted information. He informed me their strict policy is not to talk with anyone without getting their home address first to see if you have coverage. I told him I had already confirmed that on-line and through one his retailers. And anyway, I wasn't signing up just then, I *only wanted information at this point.* No matter, he was firm. I began to say "well then I guess I can't do business with your company" but I was cut off as I heard an amplification and Echo through the ear piece of my phone.

I would steer CLEAR of this company!
