A Brown Auto Service Complaint - Poor Customer Service
BURLINGTON, VERMONT -- To Whom It May Concern:
On December 01, 2000 I purchased $420.00 worth of winter tires from your company, while there I also purchased a set of winter wiper blades for a cost of $20.00.
My appointment for my tires was for 1:30 pm, I was at your place of business at 12:45, I explained I was going to dinner and would return to pick up my car.
At 2:15 pm I returned to find my car still had the old tires on it.
I spoke with the manager Jim, he explained to me that I must have kept the keys with me because they didnt have them. I cant tell you how many times Jim kept telling me I must have had the keys maybe I left them in a store while I was shopping!.. Well to make a long story short they did have them. They placed them in another customers car, when she left she unknowingly took my keys. They had to hunt her down to find them. Finally at 4:30 pm. I was on my way out the door.
December 18, my winshild wipers I purchased from you broke, with no fault of mis-use I assure you. I made a phone call to Jim- who became rude, and very unprofessional. I ended up calling Earny the owner of the A Brown Service Center. Only to be talked to in the same way.
After getting off the phone, I got to thinking these two men just belittled me, called me names and for what? because I asked them to replace a wiper blade that day. It would have taken three minutes of their time, and considering they kept me for three hours the day they lost my keys I dont believe I was asking much.
But I now know why these men spoke to me in such a rude, unprofessional manner, because I was a women- they would have never spoken to a man in that same manner, as a matter of fact I bet they would have found that lousy three minutes to repair the balde.
Only a men with no self control would ever speak to a women the way these people did. No women should ever feel like she is less of a person because she is a female in a garage. I must say that I now allow my father to take my car for repairs, that way Ill make sure Im getting my moneys worth, A Brown will never see another penny from me. I can promise you I will tell everyone who is willing to listen what you did to me.
Be advised that I have filed a complaint with the BBB in our state.
