DirecTV Inc Complaint - Appalling DirecTV support and service
After 2 days of no service, we called and were told a technician needed to come to the house. I pay about $3000 per year for this service. The idea of getting a technician out that day was met with, "we just don't do same day service." And "they were just all booked up the next day." Its the 3rd day now and let's hope they show. The customer service people "couldn't do anything"
This is not what is wanted when you pay this kind of monthly fee. I'm canceling, and before you use direcTV, you better consider what happens when your service breaks down, because you just won't get the service you want.
They wouldn't credit my account for the 2 days previous service outage, only from the day I called in the problem. Nice how they nickel and dime you.
It took us about 3-4 hours on the phone with them several months ago to figure out why they were billing me $75-100 more per month. They were overbilling my account for approximately 6 months, and when I finally realized this and spoke with them, I was told that I had approximately 10 different receivers in my home. There was some kind of fraud on the account and when we finally got it "straightened out," I continued to get overbilled and they kept on sending 10 empty boxes to my home so I "could mail back the receivers I wasn't using." Despite calls to correct this, I got another shipment of boxes to "return the receivers (that I never had!).
Its one major problem with them after another. I going back to cable, which I never had a problem with.
