Sears Complaint - Sears Appliances - avoid at all costs
On November 30th Sears delivered a LG (Kenmore branded) refrigerator to one of our rental units. The refrigerator was Dead on Arrival, Sears requested that we work with the manufacturer to repair the unit - very quickly we determined that the refrigerator was not easily repaired so we contacted Sears for a replacement. Sears provided a series of delivery dates which they failed to meet. Out of desperation, I selected an alternative model, with up charge, for which Sears also failed to deliver. So I maintained a cool head and attempted return of merchandise. Sears refused to reimburse the original delivery charge, I am quite worried that Sears will fail to manage reimbursement of the up up charge as well, they are really quite inept. Anyhow I needed a refrigerator and Western Appliance delivered a unit on time that worked, at a fair price. After 4 hours working with Sears Customer Solutions (a wholly incompetent team) I am not confident but hopeful the issue will be resolved. Do yourself a favor, read the reviews, and consider an alternative to Sears when purchasing appliances.
