Ashley Furniture Complaint - How long do I have to wait?
LAS VEGAS, NEVADA -- I purchased a recliner chair from Ashley. While in the store it took about 45 minutes to process the purchase (my husband says you can buy a car faster!). Then I learned that the delivery - which I had to pay for - would be two weeks. OK, that is a long time but...I guess I can live with that.
Finally the chair is delivered. Shortly after the delivery people leave we realize that the chair is sitting lopsided. The foot rest is not square with the chair. It is probably some small adjustment and we look at the mechanism to see if we can fix it. No obvious fix is apparent so I immediately call customer service. They say "We will send a technician. What day is good for you?" I say "How about tomorrow?" They go off into "Please Hold land" for about 15 minutes. When they return "Sorry, tomorrow is not available. Our first available day is the 23rd." I say, "Today is the 23rd." "No, the 23rd of next month!"
I have to wait 1 month to get a technician to look at a chair! This is NOT customer service. I am embarrasssed for them. I called back the next day just to confirm and they repeated the time schedule. The customer service agent was clearly empathetic but they can't change it.
This is my second unsatisfactory encounter with Ashley. There will not be a third.
