Regional Parcel Services/Smokers Source Complaint - Taking the Money and Running
I placed an order with Smokers Source in Salamanca NY on 12/15/2010 and sent a money order in the amount of $144 for the purchase of tobacco products with a promise of 7 top 10 days turn-around time from date of payment. RPS received payment 12/21/2010 and used a sub-contactor to deliver my order to New Jersey, which turned out to be less that an hour from their warehouse in New York! Of course after the big storm I was given the excuse of inclament weather. So as of the 1st of the year they still could not give me an answer to where my order was(per Sean). Smokers source in Salamanca NY was no help either(the company I purchased from). Now I have found out that RPS fired the contract delivery company and is trying to retrieve my merchandise, and has hired another carrier to ship it to me. As of today, I still can't get a definite answer as to where my shipment is, who has it, or when I will receive my product. And I have been made NO offer as to a refund, or a re-shipment of said order. I have contacted the Salamanca District Attorney's office, the Cuttaraugus Territory tribe in Salamanca, and the Better business office about RPS, not to mention my attorney. It amounts to nothing short of thievery and fraud.
