PRESCOTT VALLEY, ARIZONA -- Penske Truck Rental in Prescott Valley, Arizona, is the most unprofessional location I've ever known. I've used Penske before, recommended them, and chose to use them again. I'm thinking this was a mistake. The truck was filthy inside and out, the roof leaked water(after driving 13 hours, we unloaded the next day.(Drove thru 3 hours of snow storms then 2 more hours till home)which damaged my wifes cd's, walkman, computor programs, camera lens case, brass champagne glass, and case some of these things were in. We picked up the truck around 5 pm so we could load at night(tight schedule) and the light in the back would not work. Had to wait until morning, putting us behind and driving for hours into the sun. The windshield washer was boken, which made it hazardous when we were in the snow storms, the headlight switch said the headlights were on when they were not, had a hard time keeping the dash lights on, the front-end felt like someone hit a curb and knocked the allignment out, and the gas tank was not full, only 3/4 of a tank. I found the check-in sheet for whoever brought it in 3 days earlier(still have it) and the manager signed off ok for everything. Incometence is a dangerous thing. These were small mechanical problems that could have contributed to serious injury or death. I used Penske because I thought they could be trusted to supply me with a safe vehicle. I'm gald I am still in one piece to know better.
