Reeses Peanutbutter Cups Complaint - Stale
I also love this product and over the last year have thought the taste was not right. It does have a stale taste. I always check the date on everything buy. The dates were good. Wonder what is going on.

Don't you just hate that??!!!... get your mouth all ready for something sinfully delicious... only to go ewww that's nasty... then what is really bad is when the taste lingers in you mouth.. YUCK!!

Have you contacted Reeses? Maybe they changed something with the recipe?
I am not much of a sweets eater, but I love Reeses PB cups, especially the dark chocolate ones, once in a while. I would be so bummed to have it taste stale!

Many food manufacturers are changing recipes, choosing lower cost ingredients in order to avoid raising prices. Unfortunately, most consumers want the same taste at the same price, and rising input costs have created a dilemma for many manufacturers. I agree with just cause in contacting Reese's, giving them the benefit that they actually may care about hearing from a disappointed consumer.

Stale or rancid peanuts have a distinct smell and taste. I don't think changing the recipe would cause them to taste stale. This is the second complaint I've seen. I wonder what's going on over at Hershey. Could they possibly be using old peanuts? Definitely contact them. They should know about this.

Def changed the recipe. Both the peanut parts and Choc parts have gotten cheaper tasting to me recently. Slimming down till they taste good again
