sewer backwash into basement - Complaint
CARROLL, IOWA -- I was so hopeful that our American Home Shield warranty would give us peace of mind as we moved into our new place. Almost immediately we/they were tested as our sewer backed up right into our basement. Their communication skills are non existent. They couldn't find a "qualified" source to address our problem. Then, they eliminated the ONLY people who had a 4 inch auger to get the roots out of our 4 inch sewer line. They would not let us use anyone really "qualified" to do the job. So, a 2 inch auger was used to give us minimal results.
Now...we can't seem to locate our "reimbursement" money from the company. After at least 10 calls and several faxes, they don't even know if they've received our claim in the mail or via fax. It's been a month now. What the heck are they there for?
I don't know who you can turn to for help. If anyone reading this can direct me to legal counsel or formal complaint area, I would be very grateful for your help. I'm at rh4916@Yahoo.com if you'd like to assist me.
