The Vanguard Group Complaint - Beware The Vanguard Group

Review by qwerty on 2005-04-15
I instituted an ACH deposit of $3000 to be put into one of my bond funds at the Vanguard Group during the week of 09/11/01, which they didn't give me credit for until the stock market reopened the following Monday. They had control and the use of this money during this week, but refused to credit me for any of it. I complained to the company several times, but was blown off or ignored. An enrolled agent, nationally-known Financial Advisor AND a CFP all told me Vanguard owed me for the time they had use of my money. It was to have gone into a GNMA fund, all of which was later transferred to a money market account until towards the end of the year when I finally dropped the account altogether due to their neglecting this issue. I had invested with them faithfully for years, and can think of no excuse for this treatment. From what I figured, they still owe me about $60 for the compounded/accululated dividends I missed out on.
