Sears Complaint - Repair Service Dismal
I have a extended warranty on my dryer - purchased separately. My dryer started smelling like it was burning. I called the repair office to schedule an appointment. The 'operator' told me to try running the dryer again! I told him it was burning up. He scheduled an appointment for 2 weeks later! They did not show up at the appointed time. Received a phone call saying he was on his way but he did not show up for 2 hours.
Then - the repairman reeked of cigarette smoke! He barely talked to me about the repair which involved replacing the motor. After he left I realized he had left his calling card behind which was the cigarette smoke odor - which turned out to be from the repair replacements box and wrappings. It took me tossing the trash out, leaving the laundry room open etc before the odor was out of my house.
The repair was covered under the warranty but the service was unacceptable. Then! I received a call to sell me more warranty policies!
