McDonald's Corporation Compliment - Good Customer Service
Yesterday, Jan 29, we stopped at the McDonald's just off Exit 99 on I-5 for lunch. The physical plant was neat and clean, even though it was quite busy. We were greeted in a friendly manner by a gentleman at the cash register, not wearing a uniform. He inquired in a warm manner what we wished. I ordered a Bacon and Cheese Angus burger, and Crystal ordered a plain double cheeseburger. I happened to mention that the last time I had gone to the McD in Chehalis and ordered a Bacon and Cheese, I was given a Mushroom and Swiss. It was a decent sandwich, but I had my mouth set for the bacon and cheese. He said, "That is a corporate store, but that wasn't right.
Well, I am going to make it right for you today." He then proceeded to comp my sandwich, and we ordered two medium soft drinks, which he upgraded to large at no extra charge. I told him it really wasn't necessary, but he insisted, stating he wanted to make a customer happy. The sandwich was fresh, hot and delicious, perhaps made a bit more tasty for being free. I really was not seeking a freebie, just making idle conversation. Joe went above and beyond the call of duty to make a customer happy with the golden arches.
We will be returning to this McDonald's as often as we can.. It is my pleasure to compliment good customer service.
