2 day delivery takes 5 days including 48 hours to 'sit' at destination? - Complaint
Review by SickofFedex on 2011-01-31
I purchased an item from a company in Illinois on Thursday, January 27. The item was needed for the evening of the 31st so I paid for the 2 day shipping option. I understood that Saturday and Sunday were not included in the 2 business day count - what I do NOT understand is why the item has been here at the destination city (Jacksonville) since 8:15 pm last night and it FEDEX says it must SIT here at the destination facility until Tuesday. WTF???
Once again, FEDEX does not use the same math as the rest of the world - they will deliver it when THEY feel like it and not before.

Have you called them and asked for an explanation? What is it?

But, isn't it guaranteed?

I don't think I've ever heard what's supposed to happen when they guarantee delivery and it doesn't make it. "We promise! On time or it's not!"

the two days start once the item left the shipper.
