British Airways Complaint - British Airways non responsive website and no service
, OREGON -- I had bought an airline ticket for my son for travel to France. It was purchased thru AKY AUCTION. The price of the ticket was not a bargain neither was it overpriced. It was okay. The instructions on the British Airways website was to check in 72 hours prior to boarding. My son attempted many times (and I was standing right beside him) approx. 72 hrs before his scheduled departure and the website kept indicating that (1) he couldn't because that flight wasn't listed(2) his flight had taken departed yet (3) instructed him to check in at the airport. He used his valid passport checking in at Portland, Oregon airport, at a domestic flight counter and again at airport security. It was accepted and no comments were made. He tried to check in at the British Airways counter in Denver and was denied because 'his passport was not valid' and 'he had not checked in'. No representatives offered to help him, etc.
Upon complaining British Airways denied all responsibility because (1) he hadn't paid a full fare and (2) his passport was not valid.
I WILL NEVER USE BRITISH AIR; I WILL NEVER USE SKY AUCTION; I WILL NEVER USE CITI CARD (THEY REFUSED TO DISPUTE ANY OF THE CHARGES). A COMPLETE RIP OFF.
