DirecTV Inc Complaint - DirecTV has raised their rates yet again!
This is a copy of the email I sent to them. I felt better anyway.
This is one customer that does not appreciate your all too frequent raising of rates. All the while giving away the $100 promotions. I don't like subsidizing your promotions. If you can't recover your costs by signing up a new customer by itself then you should not do it. You are constantly promising the world (many times very deceptively) to the new customers while spitting on those customers that have been with you for years.
Two of the receivers I have are old Hughs receivers that you would never again use if they were returned. Yet in your typical corporate greed you feel it necessary to increase the lease fee on what you would consider an obsolete receiver.
As it is you are pushing real hard to get me (and I am sure at least one or two other customers) to look for services elsewhere. It won't take a whole lot more and you will have accomplished just that.
As I said, this is only one customers opinion. I know ONE customer is insignificant and means little to nothing to DirecTV. Hopefully one day DirecTV will show some consideration and appreciation for long term customers. Probably not, but one can hope.
