Target Complaint - Warrenty repair left huge scratches in my TV
In the beginning I was very pleased with the promptness and actions taken by Target handling my warranty claim. But after they had my TV for 2 weeks, I received it back unfixed and with scratches on all 4 sides in every direction in the Bevel(frame around the screen). It looked as if the TV had been knocked over on its face and skidded across a hard surface. I contacted the center that was supposed to fix my TV and was told that this is how they received it. I then contacted the Target warranty center. After a couple days of phone tag with a supervisor, I was told the same thing and that they wouldn't cover the physical damage. I then told the Very Rude Supervisor that I received a phone call from the repair man while he was working on my TV. He asked me some questions about the loud clunking noise that he couldn't hear(reason for them having it). Why didn't he ask me about the scratches and see if this was the cause of the sound I sent it in there for? Why didn't this damage void my warranty if that's how they received it? After a few quiet moments he came up with a bunch of nonsense that didn't even apply to our conversation. It seemed I ruffled his feathers a bit, and after getting rudder and rudder with me, I felt that speaking with him wasn't going anywhere. So I would definitely say that the Target Warranty has let me down. Like many of the victims of similar stories I've read, I'm going to cancel my Target Card and will never spend 3 cents in a Target store again!
