We totally understand our customer’s frustrations when they bid and win an auction, usually for hundreds of dollars less than they would pay anywhere else, only to find the travel dates they want are not available. We are equally frustrated when this is the case as we have gone through the cost of listing and running the offer, utilizing the manpower it takes to request a customer reservation only to end up disappointing you, and losing money due to the cost of the entire process. If it were up to us we would confirm each and every customer every single time! We simply can’t hold inventory at our contracted rates on every date for every product we offer. We work the same way the airlines and hotels do, based on availability. Yes, chances are you can find availability on other sites and direct from the properties and most likely it is for hundreds of dollars more than your auction win. We don’t doubt this is the case but we doubt you will receive the same value or the same opportunity to bid what you want for travel anywhere else you might go. Sal Esposito COO Skyauction.com
