Lynchburg Nissan Complaint - Sales/service department are untrustworthy

Review by whatashame1111 on 2011-02-08
FOREST, VIRGINIA -- Lynchburg Nissan has become very disappointing in their services and also sales. I purchased a 2007 Max a little over a year ago, 1 week after purchasing the car I complained to the service people on 4 different occasions that something was seriously wrong with my front L wheel or tire finally after 4 separate appointments no-one could ever duplicate the problem but I heard the problem each day I drove into my driveway, Finally after writing a nasty letter to the service department they all of a sudden found that the L upper front strut was messed up, but didn't fall under my warranty because the strutt was not leaking. As a customer that was unfair to me when I made 4+ complaints about the front wheel/tire. They wanted to charge me $350 plus dollars to fix this. The people there are rude and uncaring about what they are selling on their lot, and could careless, And like I was told by S. B."I'm here to make money honey" those were his exact words to a customer. I also spoke with the person above S. B. someone name M. C. and he wasn't the least bit concerned about my problem and that I complained the first week after purchasing this vehicle plus 4 other occasions. I was told by Cusmo I had driven 23,000 miles. I also told him that driving 23k wouldn't cause a strutt issue. I will never purchase anything else from Nissan. The service department is untrustworthy and I don't trust sales either. The dealer/customer relationship has been severed, I will more than likely start going to the Ronoake facility to get serviced and that is an hour drive. I also took my car in to be serviced for oil change etc. I leave the dealership and notice that the sticker in the window had the wrong mileage for my return oil change, I placed a call to service and was told all I have to do is count 3,000 miles and then come back. I told sales thats their job and thats why I pay you to keep up with the mileage. Nissan really has gone downhill service and sales will never earn my business in the near future. People in sales, service, and managers are arogant and untrustworthy. Thank you very disappointed customer D. P.J

That sounds familiar - requiring it be leaking to cover replacement.

Buying a used car is great in that you avoid a lot of depreciation, but things like this can happen. 23,00 miles is a heck of a lot to then come back for a used-car warranty repair. They ARE there to make money - honesty can be refreshing or really annoying.
