Outrageous Fees, Terrible Customer Service - Complaint

ELLENTON, FLORIDA -- We were a NEW small business in Jan 2010 & decided to open a checking account with Suntrust Bk. We have always banked with Regions Bk but Suntrust was closer to our Ellenton, FL store. What a mistake!! In less than a year, we were charged over $1,200 in ridiculous fees (that's a lot of ice cream cones to sell)! We were 'stuck' banking here but finally could close the account & move to Regions. During that same time frame, we paid less than $600 in fees with Regions--both stores doing comparable business. Early on, we discussed our concerns with the Ellenton Bank Manager only to find out later, at a different branch, that she 'black balled' our account & put 'absolutely no refunds EVER'!! So much for customer service & good relations!

We have banked with Regions for over 10+ years & have nothing but GREAT things to say. Do yourself a favor & RUN from Suntrust bank!! We will NEVER try to start a 'new relationship' with another bank again.
