Extended Service Contract with Whirlpool for Free Standing IceMaker
1999 Free Standing Ice Maker - Complaint
GREENEVILLE, TENNESSEE -- I have a 1999 Whirlpool Free Standing Ice Maker that I purchased new in 1999. I had two repairs made on the original warranty and since I had had trouble with it, I purchased an extended service agreement. Although Whirlpool's name is on the extended service contract, they subcontract through AON Innovative Products. Be aware that Whirlpool has no jurisdiction over AON as far as repair work. Presently, I have been without my icemaker since Dec. 27, 2004. The repairman sent by AON has not only failed (in five trips) to repair my icemaker, but he charged me for a service call, cashed my check and refuses to return the money! When I call AON, they tell me to call them back on Friday Aril 26, 2005) to see what "upper management" has decided about whether this man will return to my house or if they will recommend another repair person. This man has been paid by AON and now me and no money has been rightly refunded. I still don't have any ice in the icemaker. Another party ruined. Consumers of Extended Service Contracts with Whirlpool BEWARE!
