Pep Boys Complaint - Car Trouble and Heat Trouble
MOORESTOWN, NEW JERSEY -- About 2 years ago my heat went in my car during the bitter cold winter. I brought my car to Pep Boys in Moorestown and they did a diagnostic test. When they were finished completing the diagnostic test, they told me nothing was wrong with my heat. I was charged $40 for this. My heat in my car still does not work, clearly something is wrong with it. I feel like I was ripped off and called a liar.
I have a power steering problem with my car and I called Pep Boys to see how much they would charge to check it out. When I received the prices I decided that I could afford it. I asked Pep Boys what time they closed and they told me 7 PM. I was in the middle of eating dinner, so I finished eating and got to Pep Boys at 6:15 PM. When I arrived there and told the gentleman that I just called about a power steering problem he said "that was at 5 PM." He told me he was unable to help me because he has 2 jobs and closes at 7 PM. I walked out of the store very unhappy. I am in the customer service business and if I ever denied a customer the service they needed I would be in a great deal of trouble by my supervisor. I still have a power steering problem and it is pretty bad. I would rather take my car to Wal-Mart than the Pep Boys in Moorestown, they have poor customer service and make their customers feel like they don't care about the problem they are having with their car.
