Meijer, Inc. Complaint - Not Honoring Sale Items
Complaint

BELLEVILLE, MICHIGAN -- I dread shopping at meijer, but continued off and on for years never truly becoming a faithful customer because of several incidents in the past, from poor customer service to not having items I required in stock. but today was truly "the straw that broke the camel's back". About a week and a half ago, I was looking to purchase some chairs that I saw on sale for $48.99 which were on a end cap. I said to myself "I'll buy four of them payday". Today I returned to the same store, to the same end cap that displayed the same sale price of $48.99 with money in hand. I proudly stacked four chairs in my basket and Marched to checkout to be disappointed by the cashier "ryan" who said the chairs were $69.99 each. I stated to him there must be an error and that I priced them at $48.99 each. "ryan" immediately got on the phone and calling the furniture department at which time he stated to me that they confirmed the price of $69.99. I exited the line and returned to where I retrieved the chairs and observed that some "SNAKE OF A EMPLOYEE" had change the sign to now read $69.99 that quick.
I returned to "ryan's line" and politely asked for a manager. But "ryan" stated to me "man that price was a mistake. so the price is $69.99 and that's the bottom line!" WOW! OK PLEASE EXCUSE THE F**K OUT OF ME FOR TRYING TO SPEND MY HARD EARNED MONEY IN YOUR ESTABLISHMENT! I"m done shopping at MEIJER TOO!!! (needless to say I didn't get the chairs")
