Citicards Complaint - Deceptive practices - Citicard Partner Program

Citicard Partner Program - Complaint
Review by magellan on 2011-02-13
CALIFORNIA -- In June 2010 I entered into an agreement with citicards to stop using my credit card for 6 months to get a refund of some of my interest rate. Well I did faithfully. To my surprise in December I go a phone call from Citicard (Shaun) telling a charge was made that if I made it. Of course it was a fraudulent charge in December and he told me he was going to close the account and that my agreement was in good standing. To my surprise again, I got a letter saying that I broke the terms of the agreement by charging on the card. I never got to see the alleged fraudulent charges because they never wanted to send me the proof. They told me to view them on line but it happens that I could not open the account because you cannot view a closed account. They are liers and acted in bad faith to just still the money I earned by complying with the agreement. I have called 13 times and wrote about it 4 times. They tell me it was going to be corrected and never did. They are terrible. How can they still be in business. Where do I complain? How can I see the charges they say occurred? They promised to send copies and I never got them. It is so frustrating and I feel so helpless. It's pathetic.

I don't understand, they have to send you a statement if any activity during a given month occurs. I guess if you go paperless, then you have only online statements to go by, and then of course, you should have access. Valid complaint for sure. Keep hounding them and send nothing.

I agree - I would continue to pursue them for proof of the charge in question. They probably have an 800#. I would just keep calling until I get satisfaction. The problem is they closed the account. What a mess. Good luck.
