Microsoft Corporation Complaint - Customer Support Stinks
As a longtime user of MS Money, I purchased Money 2005 Deluxe and promptly installed it on my computer. When I start it, I get to the initial screen where I convert my 2004 file or start a new one. When I try to sign in or create a new file, it gives a "unexpected error" message and then quits.
When I called Microsoft for support they had the brass to tell me that Microsoft doesn't cause bugs, it is the OS (a Microsoft product) or some other software on my computer. They refused to assist me because I can't tell them my product ID which is accessible from the help menu that I can't get to because the %$&!# thing unexpectedly quits. When I suggested that not being able to access the help menu from the startup screen is a flaw in design they made excuses.
I think they have just successfully converted a long time user back to Quicken. I was planning on purchasing a new computer, Macintosh is looking more attractive each day.
