Sprint PCS Complaint - Sprint PCS Refuses to let me cancel...
SNELLVILLE, GEORGIA -- I have a vendor account from where I worked at Staples during the last part of 2000. Service for Sprint in my area is no good at all... and I wanted to cancel my account but I no longer work for Staples.. well the first call around Jan 2001 I was informed I could not cancel without contacting a sales rep... no number or information on contacting a sales rep was made available to me.. Second call.. same thing but I got a free phone to help solve some of my problems.. well they didn't... I call a third time to cancel and get same run around... Finally around august, I quit paying my bill.. finally October rolls around.. I get nasty notes.. Pay your bill or we cut off your account.. I call back and say thank you.. that's what I've wanted all along.. well they tell me to pay to avoid negative credit reporting and they'll disconnect my phone for me.. I pay... they refuse to disconnect giving me same line that I can't do it without a sales rep... I call back again .. get ugly... finally get transferred to employee accounts where they assure me that they can cut off my phone.. employee accounts finally gets to me after three calls and over an hour of hold time... they tell me.. no sorry.. we can't do that you don't have an employee account.. but we'll transfer you to vendor accounts... well vendor accounts tells me nope sorry.. got to call your local sales office.... ask for a supervisor.. he tells me he can cancel my account but that he won't do it... doesn't care what I've been through if I want it done I'll contact local sales office... Well I have racked up hours of hold time, months of pleading and begging, headaches galore, spent money on a phone I haven't wanted.... and still no resolution to my problem..
To help keep me as a potential future customer, I would like the following:
Mainly to have my account cut off... but it would also be nice if someone would refund me some of the money I've spent for a phone I don't even want.
At the very least I would like a response from your company regarding this incident. Thank you for your time.
