Guaranteed delivery for Valentine's day - Complaint
Review by IamSOupset withthiscompany on 2011-02-14
I placed my order on Friday the 11th for an order to be delivered today 02/14, there was an option to pay additional money for the order to be delivered by 12 (Noon); I paid the additional money expecting it to be delivered. I call at 1 pm wondering why the flowers had not arrived and what I was told is that they could refund the amount paid for faster delivery.

I told the lady to refund it and that they are being delivered to a school there is not much time to get there. Now it is 4pm and still no flowers. I called again and requested a refund. The Mr asked why I wanted a refund, I told him because the flowers were not delivered on time. He said we don't guarantee delivery any time on Valentine's day. (It was acknowledged earlier that they do) I brought it to his attention but he ignored. Said he would have to contact the florist and make sure they were not delivered and once they are safe back at the florist then they will see about a refund.

Will never use them again.

I'll never understand why people use these online "florists" rather than a real, local florist.

momsey, if you are sending flowers from Dallas to Memphis, unless you are familiar with Memphis or have someone there that can advise you where to go, you would have trouble picking a "local" florist.
That being said, ordering flowers online on a Friday for a Monday delivery (b4 noon) on VT Day, is taking a chance, even local. It's one of the busiest days of the year. That and the day after for the one's that forgot.

Not true, jkt. You can go to YOUR local, trusted florist and they can arrange for another florist in their network to send whatever you need wherever you need it. Of course, nothing is guaranteed, but I've done this countless times with our local florist and never had a problem.

I understand that, family used to own a flower/wedding shop, but like you said that don't always work. I agree with using the local shop.
