Net10 Compliment - Thank you Net10 for speedy assistance

Review by Pattercake on 2011-02-15
I switched to Net10 about a year ago due to some financial reasons. It was perfect for keeping me connected to the top networks, while paying the bare minimum. Yes, I had to cut my calling habit right down initially, but then the idea was to save! :) Things have picked up for me recently, so I decided to move to their $50 unlimited plan, and with this, decided to upgrade my phone too. Got a lovely LG900, but had some problems getting the new phone activated. After an unsuccessful attempt at sorting this out with their cs line, I read somewhere about their Facebook site. I contacted them through it, and in no time my problem had been sorted out. I now have use of an affordable unlimited plan, with a good phone to compliment it. Well worth the savings.

So glad to hear you've had such a nice experience. I know customer service for any company can be very exhausting, so it's good to know that NET10 has come up with a solution using facebook. How do you like that phone? After using just a basic phone for the past few years, I'm ready for an upgrade. I guess it does make sense to go with the unlimited plan with a phone like that.

@ladyaspen You're right about customer service-I'm yet to come across a company that has a sterling track record for their c/s. And it's something to consider when we think we'll give up something good in the hope of something better-the grass is not always greener on the other side :)!
If you're looking for an upgrade, I really would recommend the LG900-after also using Net10's more basic phones, I think you'll find a big difference in the browser speeds, and great having JAVA apps available. Just make sure you have decent AT&T coverage in your area, as it's a gsm phone. If you can get your hands on a friends phone, maybe try it out to see if it suits your needs before purchasing, because often one person's needs/opinions differ from the next. Oh, and I heard they have a great deal on it at the mo', where the phone ends up costing you around $10 after you take off the $50 card and gift card that comes with the phone. Makes it the best deal IMHO.

I have heard some news of NET10 bringing on a 3G touchscreen smart phone. Has anyone heard this rumor? Is there any truth to it? This would be so exciting! I have been waiting for them to come out with something like this!
