The company who did repairs to my daughter's car uses First Franklin to finance large bills. My daughter put me down as a reference on the application. She did not put me down as a contact, that was in a separate location on the application. Long before the first payment was due, they called her to "remind" her that the bill was coming due. They then offered to set up automatic bank drafts. Even though she knew better, she thought maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea, in order to make sure she never missed a payment. She told them she could only do it if they could insure her it wouldn't be taken out until a certain date each month, when she was sure the money would be there. She stressed this to them several times. They agreed. Then they attempted to take the money out the day before the date she gave them. The bank charged a fee, and First Franklin charged a fee. She called and complained. They apologized, and said they would fix the problem. She told them to take her off autodraft. They said they would. But the next month the same thing happened. They finally canceled the autodraft. Then they began calling her long before the bill was due every month to make sure she was going to pay it. She quit answering when they called. Then they started calling me. Each time they would tell me she had put me down as a contact, which she didn't. She only put me down as a reference. I told them I would no longer take messages for her. They call several times a month now. Keep in mind, she has never been late on a payment. They call before it's even due. This is harassment on a whole new level. Never use this company.
