Ameriprize Insurance Informative - Beware of Ameriprize

Review by Yustin on 2011-02-18
MINNEAPOLIS,, MINNESOTA -- I originally signed up for Ameriprize because my auto rates went up with 2 vehicles. Then after a year my previous insurance co raised my Home rates because I did not have the auto package. Ameriprize was great, signed up both my houses as well. After 5 months, they started asksing to come in and investigate the inside of my homes. They showed up at my house unannounced with clip boards when I was sick. I did not answer the door. I saw that they took a picture of my front door because is needed paint. I immediately painted my door. Now they are harassing me and my rental which is vacant, they want to know who and when people have been at that house and a description of all the people who have stayed at the house. Absolutely amazing!!! I've never heard of such a thing. I feel like I'm on trial or something. Everyone I asked - 50 people at work and my entire family have never heard of such a thing. I read on the net that they go through your house and say, this is worn out, etc and this needs fixed and then won't pay full value, if there is a claim. RUN from them!!! I am in the process of getting new insurance, however, I am going to let them cancel it because I heard that they give you a hard time or charge a fee when you do it. The address at the bottom must be their headquarters. I live in CA, but this is where you send correspondence.

Why not take matters into your own hands, and cancel the policy. You heard they give you a hard time or charge fee's? Just who are you hearing all this from, regarding hard times and cancellations fee's? It does not matter what you heard, it's about what's in your policy, regarding cancellations.
