Dixonusa Complaint - Hard to sharpen
HEATHROW, FLORIDA -- My kids have been using your #2 pencils for a average of almost 20 years and myself for even longer and I have noticed a gradual decline in quality. I have started with a new pencil and by the time I'm done sharpening it, it is practically a nub, that is if I don't throw it away in frustration first. I have tried several different kinds of sharpeners and have been through many, many packs of pencils. It is though the "lead" is broken all the way down through the pencil, because as I continue to sharpen it the lead either constantly breaks or just pulls out of the pencil. I'm not heavy handed or fast when it comes to sharpening, mainly due to the fragile nature of these pencils.
I remember when I could sharpen a pencil and use it for almost a week before it needed sharpened again, It would only take a couple of turns in the sharpener before a new point develops, and I could go another week.
If the pencils don't improve soon I'm gonna have to switch to mechanical pencils due to a sore wrist.
