Geek Squad/Best Buy Complaint - Waste of money, awful service
SANDY, UTAH -- DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! I could have bought a new computer with the amount of money I had to spend in order to clean my computer of a virus!
I was perfectly fine with my computer needing 3 days to be spent working on it by Geek Squad, and they gave me a courtesy call to let me know it was done. Not even 24 hours later after working on it, did my computer display the same virus symptoms after I was GURANTEED my computer would be wiped clean. I took it back in and was told that on a few occasions, there are a few viruses they don't see the first time cleaning the computer, and my laptop should be available for pick up that night. It was NOT ready that night, and was told it would be available the next morning. It has been 4 days that I have gone back daily because I was told it would be ready, and it has not been.
On top of that, the employees at Geek Squad are rude and are not understanding. They were very disorganized and took them 20 minutes to locate my computer and also were not able to find the external hard drive that I bought with it.
They lost the paperwork and notes to go to my computer so when I went in to try to pick up my computer, they were asking me information about it that they should have known.
It's completely ridiculous and I will NEVER work through Geek Squad again, and I will make sure I defer anyone from wasting their time and money with them.
