Cingular Wireless Complaint - Please Stay away from Cingular!
FLORIDA -- I am in FL and I have spent two two days trying to talk with Cingular. I'm sure we have all dealt with many companies, but I have to say Cingular is one of the worst! If I had known I would never have started my cell phone process with them. We had AT&T, I wanted to add another line. They charged me over $400 to do this, they insisted I could not use my old AT&T phones, I had to switch to phones they offered. Convenient for them. I am furious they railroaded me out of my money, and that is exactly what they did. Not only that, they charged me over $100 of hidden fees to add another line and all the lines have my caller ID on them, so my husband's phone has my name. Which is RICIDULOUS! Our AT&T phones each had our own account no matter who signed up for the service. This is simple highway robbery and I'd like to just warn everyone to please be careful.
When I tried to resolve all these problems, I was in a loop, had rude customer service people, and was told to get out to a Cingular Store, because the phone customer service folks simply could not be bothered to deal with my problems.
This is horrible today, if I hadn't signed an AT&T contract before the takeover, I wouldn't be stuck. The worst thing is that Cingular is allowed to get away with this treatment of people and charge them more. I don't understand services and companies like this. I am stuck, please if you read this, don't get stuck with this cell phone provider, I am sick over what happened to me. I wish I had known when I believed my service was with AT&T and I would continue to get that good service.
