DishNetwork.com Complaint - DishNetwork snakepit full of liars and thieves

Review by dishhater#1million on 2011-02-25
LITTLETON, COLORADO -- I answered an ad in the Sunday paper to get "24mo HD 120 channels for $24.99 per month" placed by an agent of dish called satellitesystemsnetwork.com. After the 2d billing, dish raised the monthly price by $5, also putting on other programming than the contracted for 120 channels, without my requesting any such programming change and then tried to charge $5 to STOP the unrequested programming (they are hoping you will forget to tell them 30days before the end of the "free" period so they can hit you for another $40-$60 per month for such repetitive crap as SHO/HBO, STARZ, etc). I am in a running fight, have not paid the 3d month's bill (I was ripped off by someone else for $400 for tickets in Philly [I live in Az] & so closed the account I had set up the autopay for dish on) and will not pay them another cent until they abide by the terms advertised. NB: Dish paid $6million to 46 states' Atty Generals in 2009 for just these types of fraudulent marketing & deceptive trade practices. If you decide to get dish or cable or directTV, read EVERY word of the contract BEFORE SIGNING & you will probably find fine print that allows them to charge you anything they want; if you sign, scratch out the parts you don't agree with on the "contract" and you will be in a stronger position when do inevitably raise your price & whack you for fees. I am giving up on any and all of these RICO corporations.

by not paying you will soon be turned into collection. They are very aggressive about this. Don't ignore your contract as Dish won't either.
