Rental Car - Complaint
TAMPA, FLORIDA -- I recently rented a car from dollar, keep in mind I reserved a specific car 2 weeks in advance. First, I get there and they tell me, "we don't have the car you wanted but we have a similar car". OK, I accepted because I believe in as less problems as possible. I have the car for 2 days and call to add on a 3rd day. So, for one extra day they tried to charge me an extra $360.00 for ONE EXTRA DAY!!! Definitely not. I returned the car the same day so they charged me an extra fee for the car being 15minutes late. WOW! BASICALLY THEY IN ALL CHARGED MY CARD $667.00 ANYWAY. NEVER WILL I DO BUSINESS WITH THEM, YET ALONE RECCOMMEND THEM TO MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS THAT TRAVEL A LOT. This was the only place I would rent a car from before, but now they are on my (DO NOT LIST). I WILL BE LOOING FOR SOME WHERE ELSE TO RENT CARS WHEN I TRAVEL. ALL IN ALL, DOLLAR ONLY CARES ABOUT YOUR MONEY, NOT YOU! SO I CALL THEM THE ROOT OF EVIL.

The car you reserved was not available at the time you arrived. Yet, when you rented a vehicle, rather than return it as agreed, you wanted to keep it an extra day, declined due to cost, and subsquently returned the car late. I have to wonder if someone may have been standing at the counter, who had reserved the car you returned late, frustrated that the car was not available.

$667 for 2 days rental is ridiculous.

I can't get past $600+ for a two day rental, unless they substituted a Lamborghini for a Ferrari.
Looked at another way, if you returned a car like that 15 minutes late you should expect to pay a fee. Late = penalty at rental agencies.
