Texas legal system? Complaint - Jury Duty = illegal citizens and legal citizens of the USA.

Review by TXRoadTrip on 2005-04-28
TEXAS -- Texas Jury Duty:
Does anyone notice the people who get down town for jury duty and they talk to the clerks about why they cannot serve on jury duty.
Do you ever listen to the people’s reasons and watch?
The reasons for some; “They are not US legal citizens.”
The clerks ask them to show proof that they are the person named on the jury summons and they pull out a TEXAS Drivers license.
The US legal system allows illegal citizens who show and posses USA and STATE documents and identification without doing anything.
What is wrong with the US legal system?
What is wrong with the TEXAS legal system?
So who allows illegals and terrorists in our Country?
Our government.

Ask yourself these questions:
If any of us drove without a drivers license = what is the fine?
If they stop illegals driving without a drivers license what is the fine?
If they stop illegals driving with a drivers license what is the fine?

People will use any excuse to get out of jury duty. Sounds like they are lying about being here illegally. Its kind of surprising the judge doesnt fine them for contempt of court for lying.

They are using Texas DPS information = Texas Drivers Licenses for Houston Harris County for finding people for jury duty.

I was not a potential juror. And there is no check box for illegal citizens. Illegal citizens should not have a Texas Drivers License, it should be confiscated and voided, and them deported.

Excuses can also be faxed in.

Siffer do you live in Texas? Illegals have licenses and cars/trucks in Texas. Just no insurance and sometimes not a valid registration and inspection. Have you ever heard of people having their inspection stickers and registration stickers stolen? And that is why we = legal citizens = pay more for insurance = uninsured motorists and illegal uninsured motorists.

So tex you’re saying that to get a driver’s license in Texas, you don’t need ID? No proof of citizenship, no birth certificate? I find that a bit hard to believe.

They certainly DO get licenses! In Tennessee it is pretty well impossible to get a license unless you use the mail for it. The mexicans are lined up so far you can't get in!

Are the lines that long when you're waiting for your RC Cola and Mudpie?

They buy false and stolen ID’s - birth certificates - social security cards - daily in Texas and obtain Texas Driver's Licenses. The funny thing is how people don’t have to speak or understand English to get a US Driver’s license.

'Fraid' not txzzz. Those are considered SLANG words and frowned upon by us Northerners.

The DPS story about that's how potential jurors are picked is a lie. Made up primarily out of fear that throngs of people will stop registering to vote. My husband and I have both been licensed since we were 17 (over 25 years ago). The only time either of us got called for jury duty is when we felt the urge to vote and registered. I've lived all over the US but I was born a Yankee and currently live in TX. And the illegals can get any document I can get, and more. They work using made up socials, and don't care. Most offenses here garner a slap on the wrist - we waffle between that and the death penalty - not much in between here in Texas. And they aren't expected to know English, but if I want a job I darn well better be bilingual.
