Behlman Preowned Centers Complaint - Poor Service and resolution of concerns

SAINT PETERS, MISSOURI -- I purchased a vehicle (2002) with 37000 miles on it. I also purchased an extended warranty with this truck.
On the second day I realized it had a intermittant wind problem with the driver door. The 3rd day, it was very windy out and I realized I may have some kind of front end problem in addition. So, I took the truck back to the dealership for repair. I was without a vehicle for 2 days and told it was rusty rotors from lot rot! So, here I am thinking lot rot! how long has this thing been hanging around.
Anyway they told me they turned the rotors and balanced the tires, they put a bunch of sticky stuff in the rubber molding on the door and called it fixed. It still was not corrected I returned the vehicle to the dealership and they gave me a loaner car, 2 days later, I picked it up and they told me the tires needed to be balanced and they found that the alternator needed replaced. The next day I was driving to work and had to stop quickly in the traffic. The whole front end shook and pulled off to the left, I was horrified! I promtly took it to a trusted repair shop (Dobbs on Broadway) they had to replace the rotors, put new brakes on, do a 4 wheel alignment,and removed a nail form one tire and screw from another! it cost close to 500.00 for these repairs.
I was extremely dissatisfied with how their Service department handled the problems, so I asked to see the Sales Manager, who in the beginning of this seemed to care, up until I told him I do not have any confidence in the service depatment here and asked if I could use my warranty anywhere I wanted to. But the extended warranty was only good at their place or another small garage in mid town St. Charles. He cut a check for 50% of what the repairs cost me. I think they should have refunded all of the cost. My door still is not right, only now I have to clean all the sticky stuff off and pay to have it repaired as well.Then I find out that in cancelling my extended warranty, that my payments would not reflect in the cost monthly but only from the back end of the loan! Now I have an inflated payment as well as an additional monthly payment for an after market warranty from another warranty Co. However, this warranty can be used at any licensed dealer or mechanic. NOTE: it cost much less than the warranty offered by this dealer and the coverage was 3 times longer and 50,000 more miles!
I am considering legal action as I feel there actions or lack there of have caused me additonal cost, time and financial hardship.

I have had some problems there as well, When these things happen I am going to take a more active roll in reviewing them. This way maybe others will not hve to experience them at all.

(LOL) I guess "togs", didn't get a quick enough response so they 'piled on' their own post, huh. Togs, did you test drive the car before you purchased it? Lot rot?
