EBay Complaint - Confused by eBay
I posted a sale for spare parts and received a sale quickly. The transaction was smooth with open communication between the buyer and I. The buyer had misread my ad and wished to settle the transaction refund out of the resolution center. I called eBay customer service to check on the best practice for the situation. On the phone, they informed me that they were confident that I could enter a resolution case and be given protection from giving a refund. I entered the case, and was told to give a refund to eBay for protecting the buyer. The charge was $20 more than the price of the sale. I sent emails asking why the price was more than the sale in the first place, to no reply.
Countless emails from eBay HK and eBay US continue, and I am still asked to pay more than I was given in the first place, for a situation where both the buyer and customer service gave me the wrong information.
