ShineGlassRenewal Complaint - Advertises by Spamming Forums

Review by janepantyhose on 2011-03-06
This company has chosen to advertise by spamming forums, after either ignoring, or not reading and understanding the forum's Terms of Service. I would not trust a company that chooses to advertise by spamming sites.

Imho, spamming is stealing bandwidth.

I would never buy anything that is advertised via spam e-mails or forum posts. Over 10 years ago, when I was still using a WebTV box to surf the internet (a WebTV box was about the size of a VCR, used a dial-up connection, and allowed you to surf the internet using a standard tube TV (there were no LCD or plasma sets back then.) I fell for an offer in which you got "free movie tickets"...although there were a lot of strings attached. You had to buy the tickets using a credit card, then mail in the stubs and receipts, and you were refunded via PayPal. I wasn't aware of internet scams back then; fortunately, my refund WAS posted with PayPal, and neither my PayPal or credit card info was compromised. Also, I ended up spending an entire day, opening to closing, at a megaplex cinema, watching 5 different movies, since the offer required you to send stubs for a single day ONLY. And nobody could hack into a WebTV box anyway, since very few people had broadband access at the time, and WebTV used a proprietary operating system that kept viruses, malware, and spyware away...almost like Linux systems now.
