Best Buy Complaint - Poorest Service I Have Ever Received
CARSON CITY, NEVADA -- I just experienced a true example of what a store manager should NOT do! 2 years ago I purchased a new iPhone from Carson City Best Buy. I also purchased the $15/mo. black tie service contract.
My iPhone broke yesterday. I brought it into the store for replacement. They took my cell phone and gave me a temporaryreplacement phone. Moments before I left the store, they took the phone away from me and told me that my service contract had expired 4 days prior (2 years at $15/mo...and 4 days later).
They then returned my sim card and told me I had to buy a new phone and service contract and there is nothing else they can do for me. The manager of the store actually "dismissed" me as if it were completely out of his hands. All he had to do was ask, "is there anything I can do to help make this right for you" or perhaps he could have said, "I know this can't feel good and I want you to have a good experience...what would help". Instead, I was "dismissed" to another employee with "not one word from the manager".
Here is the BEST PART...I left the store and went to the Verizon Store 50 feet away. I bought a new iPhone and 2 year contract. My sim card had been erased by the employee at Best Buy. I returned to the Best Buy store and was told "it was impossible"....I said, "it worked on the loaner phone you had given me and now it doesn't"..."can you explain that"....No response from the manager and was once again dismissed.
Best Buy liked my $15/mo and loved telling me about the poor service by other cell phone porviders....I will not buy from them again.
