Orbitz Complaint - Pathetic... Never Again
I bought a ticket in December for International travel. I paid $2000 which at the time was a steal, due to unfortunate circumstances I had to cancel and rebook for April.
I spent collectively 8 hrs on the phone with Orbitz and was placed on hold several times and forgotten because of the complexity of my previous booking.
Since it was a combination of United and Royal Jordanian airlines, I had to rebook the exact same itinerary. This was available from other competing airlines at $1300, while I had to pay an additional $282 dollars over my $2000 credit.
WHAT A RIP OFF! Orbitz was completely helpless in every way. They couldn't help me get a refund, pick another airline, poorest customer service I have ever seen. They couldn't even email me the itinerary of the new proposed travel for me to review.
1) Never buy from Orbitz
2) Buy directly from airline
3) Never buy a combination of airlines to save money. It will screw you eventually.
