Chase Manhattan Bank Complaint - How Many Calls Does It Take?
My husband and I book a trip and final payment due this month. I made a call to Chase to inform them of the large charge coming through and what did I need to do to make sure it went through without difficulty. I was assured that all was set up.
Payment was denied on 3/4. Got a call from National Geographic informing me of that. I called Chase--they said that there was no record of my previous call. I was again assured that all was set and that the request was not going to be denied as the had put a clearance on it. It was denied again on 3/7. I called Chase again today and was told that all should have been well with the request. On a 3 way conference call, National Geographic again tried to submit the payment and it was denied. The Chase representative could not give me an answer. The Chase representative "fiddled" some more and asked the National Geographic representative to try again. Finally it went through.
I asked to speak with a supervisor at Chase and even she could not give me a logical explanation as to why it happened.
