PORT CHARLOTTE, FLORIDA -- This is a prime example of how a consumer should ALWAYS get a receipt for services rendered, EVEN IF ITS FROM SOMEBODY YOU KNOW AND THINK YOU CAN TRUST. I paid Terry at Depthfinders in Port Charlotte, FL $250 in cash for my open water certification. I thought he was an individual I could trust due to his friendship with my father and the class flexibility he could offer. We began the process in the beginning of October with my completion of the written exam and pool work, by January I was still not certified. Aside from being unavailable ONE weekend, I was ready and willing any time to take my remaining open water dives to complete my certification. Phone calls and emails went unanswered, the absolute worse organizer and communicator I have ever encountered. If I wanted to reach him he would contact me only through my father, the lack of professionalism was astounding.

In January I was finally fed up with the process and completed my open water dives with another Scuba facility with no snags (the staff at Divers Direct in Orlando are AWESOME), when I requested a PARTIAL refund of a mere $65 to cover the cost of the training at another school, he refused to even return my calls/emails. DO NOT BE FOOLED, AND DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.
